The Multi-Hole Low Noise Control Valve is a high-performance sleeve cage guided throttling control valve. Unlike conventional window-type cage control valves, it replaces the traditional large opening cage with a densely arranged multi-hole noise reduction sleeve. Combined with a pressure-balanced plug design, it is specially developed to solve the challenges of excessive noise, cavitation, internal trim erosion, and valve vibration caused by high-velocity fluid flow under high differential pressure conditions.
Widely applied in demanding fluid control applications across the petroleum, chemical, power generation, heating, HVAC and other industries, this valve provides three key functions: precise flow regulation, effective noise reduction, and excellent anti-erosion performance.
Liquid Service (High Pressure Inlet, Low Pressure Outlet):When high-pressure liquid enters the multi-hole perforated sleeve, it is divided into numerous small jets through thousands of precisely arranged micro-orifices. The fluid streams collide and interact inside the sleeve, converting kinetic energy into heat energy and gradually dissipating pressure energy. This significantly reduces flow velocity, minimizes turbulence, and effectively suppresses noise and erosion damage caused by cavitation bubble collapse.
Gas / Steam Service (Low Pressure Inlet, High Pressure Outlet):For gas and steam applications, the fluid passes through multiple stages of throttling and pressure reduction via the multi-hole sleeve structure. After leaving the sleeve, the enlarged outlet chamber allows the gas to expand gradually and release pressure smoothly. Large-scale turbulence is broken down into numerous small vortices, while acoustic waves interfere with each other and shift the dominant noise frequency into the ultrasonic range, which is less sensitive to human hearing, achieving significant noise reduction.
Differential Pressure Graded Adaptation:According to the upstream and downstream pressure differential ratio, the manufacturer designs single-stage or multi-layer variable-aperture perforated sleeves to match different operating conditions.
For low differential pressure applications, a single-stage sleeve with uniform hole diameter is selected. For high differential pressure applications, a multi-layer perforated sleeve with gradually changing hole sizes is adopted to achieve step-by-step pressure reduction, preventing excessive noise and vibration caused by sudden high-pressure throttling.
