Pneumatic Inflatable Butterfly Valve

Pneumatic Centerline Wafer Inflatable‑Seat Butterfly Valve features a centerline disc design, wafer‑type connection and inflatable seat, driven by a pneumatic actuator. When compressed air is supplied to the seat, it expands and clamps tightly against the disc surface to achieve bubble‑tight zero‑leakage sealing. Upon pressure relief, the seat retracts, eliminating friction between the disc and seat during rotation and greatly reducing operating torque.

The valve body adopts wafer‑type connection. It is installed between two pipeline flanges and secured by bolts. This construction delivers compact dimension, light weight, easy installation and cost‑effective performance, suitable for various industrial piping systems.

Working Principle of Pneumatic Wafer Inflatable-Seat Butterfly Valve：
Opening Stroke: The inflatable seat is depressurized and retracts away from the disc. The pneumatic actuator rotates the valve stem and centerline disc. When the disc turns parallel to the media flow direction, the valve is fully open for unobstructed media passage. Since the seat retracts in advance, no friction or scratch occurs on the sealing surface during disc rotation.

Closing Stroke: The actuator rotates the disc to the closed position. Once the disc is seated, compressed air is injected into the seat. The seat inflates and expands to firmly wrap the outer edge of the disc, forming a tight seal to block media flow.

Automatic Control: Double‑acting or spring‑return single‑acting pneumatic actuators are optional. Solenoid valves control actuator movement for remote valve operation; limit switches transmit full-open and full-closed position feedback; valve positioners adjust disc opening for continuous flow regulation.
