Operating Principle of Sanitary Threaded Pneumatic Butterfly Valve for Food & Pharmaceutical Processing
Opening Stroke: Compressed air enters the pneumatic actuator and generates rotational torque to drive the valve stem. The disc gradually rotates to a position parallel to the pipeline flow‑path. When the disc approaches the fully‑open position, the flow passage is substantially unobstructed with low fluid resistance.
Closing Stroke: Upon receiving control signals, the actuator rotates in reverse and turns the disc to a position perpendicular to the pipeline flow‑path. The disc presses tightly against the sanitary‑grade seat to achieve reliable sealing and shut off the media flow.
Automatic Control: Fitted with solenoid valves, limit switches or positioners, the valve carries out automatic opening and closing in response to signals from PLC / DCS control systems. Spring‑return single‑acting or double‑acting pneumatic actuators are optional to meet various automatic control working conditions.
