Pneumatic V‑port wafer ball valve is a quarter‑turn control valve composed of a wafer‑type valve body and pneumatic actuator. Adopting short‑pattern wafer connection, the valve features compact construction and saves installation space.

Its ball is machined with a V‑notch to deliver equal‑percentage flow characteristic. It realizes precise proportional modulation as well as reliable shut‑off, boasting high turndown ratio and excellent flow capacity.

The shearing and self‑cleaning effect between the V‑notch and valve seat shears fibers and scrapes off particulate impurities to prevent jamming. It is well‑suited for pulp, ore slurry, sludge, and media with solid particles and suspended fibers.

Working Principle of Pneumatic V‑port Wafer Ball Valve
Compressed air is supplied to the pneumatic actuator to drive the internal piston mechanism, converting linear piston movement into 0–90° rotary motion. The actuator output shaft drives the valve stem and V-port ball to rotate synchronously, continuously changing the effective flow area of the V-shaped flow passage to regulate the flow rate of the process medium.

When equipped with a 4–20 mA valve positioner, the positioner receives the control signal from the DCS/PLC system, compares the input command with the actual valve position, and automatically adjusts the actuator air supply pressure. This enables the V-port ball to accurately move to the target opening position, providing precise and continuous process control.

When equipped with a solenoid valve, the actuator can perform rapid valve opening and closing for on/off isolation.
