The pneumatic flanged floating ball valve is a quarter-turn ball valve adopting a floating ball structure, flanged end connection and pneumatic actuator drive. It is mainly used for medium shut-off, opening and automatic control in industrial pipelines.
Working Principle of Pneumatic Flanged Floating Ball Valve
The pneumatic flanged floating ball valve is powered by a pneumatic actuator. Clean compressed air drives the actuator to output quarter-turn torque, rotating the valve stem and floating ball synchronously. When the ball bore aligns with the pipeline, the valve opens for medium flow; after the ball rotates 90 degrees, the bore is perpendicular to the pipeline to shut off the medium. The floating ball is pressed against the downstream seat by medium pressure to achieve reliable sealing.
The valve can be fitted with solenoid valves, limit switches and other accessories for remote automatic control and valve position feedback. An optional handwheel enables manual operation in case of air supply failure, and the single-acting actuator features an automatic reset function upon air loss to ensure operational safety.
Pneumatic Shut‑off Ball Valve are 0‑90° rotary valves. They utilize pneumatic actuators to convert compressed air into rotary motion, delivering fast and reliable valve opening and closing for industrial process control.
According to specific application requirements, pneumatic ball valves can be equipped with solenoid valves, limit switches, position feedback devices, air filter‑regulators, valve positioners and other pneumatic instrument accessories to realize automatic valve control and remote monitoring functions.
