The pneumatic cryogenic extended stem ball valve is a pneumatic ball valve specially designed for low-temperature and cryogenic medium transmission as well as automatic shut-off service. It adopts an extended stem / extended bonnet structure to effectively isolate components such as the valve packing and pneumatic actuator from the cryogenic medium zone.

It is mainly applied in the storage, transportation and process control systems for liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid argon, LNG and other cryogenic media, and widely used in natural gas, petrochemical, air separation, cryogenic storage tank, industrial gas and other industries.

Working Principle of Pneumatic Cryogenic Ball Valve
The pneumatic cryogenic extended stem ball valve is driven by a pneumatic actuator. Clean compressed air drives the valve stem and ball to rotate by 90 degrees for full opening or full closing of the valve. The extended stem forms a heat insulation buffer section to block the conduction of low-temperature media to the packing box and actuator, preventing freezing and failure of sealing components. When the ball bore aligns with the pipeline, the medium flows through; rotating the ball by 90 degrees shuts off the medium.

The valve can be equipped with solenoid valves, limit switches and other accessories for remote automatic control and valve position feedback. A single-acting actuator can be selected to realize fail-safe reset upon air loss and ensure stable operation under cryogenic working conditions.
