Pneumatic Trunnion‑Mounted Ball Valve is a high‑performance ball valve driven by a pneumatic actuator. It mainly consists of a trunnion‑mounted ball, valve body, valve stem, valve seat and pneumatic actuator.

Different from floating ball valves, the ball of trunnion‑mounted ball valve is secured inside the valve body via upper and lower stems or bearing assemblies. The ball will not shift significantly under medium pressure, which makes it especially suitable for working conditions of large size, high pressure, high temperature and high pressure differential.

Working Principle of Pneumatic Trunnion‑Mounted Ball Valve:
The pneumatic actuator receives compressed air supply and converts air pressure into 0‑90° quarter‑turn rotary output, which drives the trunnion‑mounted ball to rotate via upper and lower valve stems. The ball remains radially fixed without displacement under medium pressure, and changes the flow path status and flow area through rotation.

When fitted with a solenoid valve, it controls air supply direction switching to realize fast full‑open and full‑close of the valve for pipeline shut‑off and circulation.
