Pneumatic 3‑Way Ball Valve is an automated ball valve driven by a pneumatic actuator. Compressed air rotates the valve stem to realize medium diversion, confluence, switching and flow‑direction control. Compared with standard 2‑way ball valves, three‑way ball valves feature three port connections to achieve multiple flow‑path combinations according to diverse process requirements, suitable for industrial piping systems requiring medium switching or mixing.
Pneumatic 3‑way ball valves can be normally fitted with pneumatic instrument accessories including solenoid valves, limit switches, valve positioners and air filter‑regulator units (FRL). They can connect to automation control systems such as PLC and DCS for remote control and automatic operation.
Based on valve body structure and port pattern, pneumatic 3‑way ball valves are mainly divided into T‑port and L‑port types. The T‑port design enables multiple flow‑path combinations for medium diversion, confluence and mixing; the L‑port type is primarily used for medium flow‑direction switching.
Basic Working Principle of Pneumatic 3‑Way Ball Valve:
Compressed air → Pneumatic actuator → Valve stem rotation → Ball rotation → Flow‑path switching → Medium flow‑direction control
Pneumatic Shut‑off Ball Valve are 0‑90° rotary valves. They utilize pneumatic actuators to convert compressed air into rotary motion, delivering fast and reliable valve opening and closing for industrial process control.
According to specific application requirements, pneumatic ball valves can be equipped with solenoid valves, limit switches, position feedback devices, air filter‑regulators, valve positioners and other pneumatic instrument accessories to realize automatic valve control and remote monitoring functions.
