Manual Flanged 3‑Way Ball Valve is a multi‑port ball valve with flanged ends and manual operation. It realizes flow direction switching, media diversion, combining and process change‑over within pipelines by rotating the ball.

The valve body features three connection ports and is fitted with a specially‑ported ball inside. Either L‑Port or T‑Port configuration can be selected according to process requirements. The operating handle drives the stem and ball to rotate, creating different flow‑path combinations among various ports.

Compared with complex piping assembled from multiple standard ball valves, the 3‑way ball valve enables multi‑directional flow control within a single unit, which helps simplify piping layout, reduce connection points and save installation space.

Working Principle of 3‑Way Ball Valve
The handle or handwheel drives the valve stem to rotate the 3‑way ball within 0‑90°. Two ball port designs are available: L‑Port and T‑Port.

  • L‑Port: Performs two‑way flow diversion, switching between A‑B and A‑C connection. It does not allow simultaneous communication of all ports.
  • T‑Port: Enables flow splitting and combining. It supports three‑port interconnection or connection of any two ports.

Rotating the ball changes the combination of open passages, so as to switch flow direction, distribute flow rate and realize pipeline diversion or media mixing.

Manual ball valves are widely used on piping systems for fast opening and closing, to cut off or connect fluid media stably. Accurate parameter confirmation including working temperature, medium, pressure and caliber is required before ordering for correct valve selection.
