The Pneumatic Diaphragm Actuator is a linear-stroke, spring-return actuator designed for precise and reliable control valve automation. Compressed air acts on the diaphragm to drive the stem or pushrod in a linear motion, enabling continuous adjustment of flow rate, pressure, temperature, level and other process parameters when paired with suitable control valves.
The actuator is available in direct-acting and reverse-acting configurations. When the air supply is interrupted, the internal spring automatically returns the actuator to its preset safe position, providing air-to-open (ATO) or air-to-close (ATC) fail-safe operation.
With smooth operation, high control accuracy and easy maintenance, the pneumatic diaphragm actuator is well suited for demanding process control applications. Its pneumatic design also offers advantages for intrinsically safe and hazardous-area applications. Optional accessories such as valve positioners, handwheel overrides and other pneumatic control components can be integrated for enhanced control and manual operation.
