Pneumatic Sanitary Tri‑Clamp Butterfly Valve is an automatic control valve specifically designed for sanitary piping systems. Driven by a pneumatic actuator to rotate the disc, it enables rapid opening, closing and flow regulation of pipeline media. The valve body is normally constructed from sanitary‑grade materials such as 304 and 316L stainless steel. Both internal and external surfaces can be polished to minimize media retention and contamination, meeting the service requirements of food, beverage, dairy, biopharmaceutical, cosmetic and other clean production systems.
Operating Principle of Pneumatic Sanitary Tri‑Clamp Butterfly Valve:
The valve operates by means of compressed air driving the pneumatic actuator. The rotational torque output from the actuator turns the valve stem and disc, so as to control the flow of pipeline media.
Opening: Compressed air enters the pneumatic actuator to drive the piston or diaphragm. Via the transmission mechanism, the valve stem rotates and swings the disc gradually to a position parallel to the pipeline axis. When the disc is fully open, the flow passage is largely unobstructed for fast‑media passage.
Closing: The pneumatic actuator acts in reverse, rotating the valve stem and disc to a position perpendicular to the pipeline axis. The disc makes tight contact with the sanitary‑grade seat seal to shut off media flow and achieve reliable tight closure.
Automatic Control: The pneumatic actuator can accept control signals from PLC, DCS or other automatic control systems. Together with accessories such as solenoid valves and limit switches, it supports remote automatic opening / closing as well as position status feedback, suitable for automated sanitary production lines.
