Pneumatic Sanitary Welded Butterfly Valve is an automatic‑control butterfly valve specially designed for sanitary piping systems. It features a stainless‑steel valve body and sanitary‑grade sealing construction, and is connected to pipelines by welding. The inner cavity of the valve body is precision‑machined and polished, which effectively minimizes media retention, liquid accumulation and sanitary dead‑legs, meeting the requirements of process systems with high cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Operating Principle of Pneumatic Sanitary Welded Butterfly Valve:
Opening Stroke: Compressed air enters the pneumatic actuator, which generates rotational torque to drive the valve stem into rotation. The disc gradually swings to a position parallel to the pipeline flow‑path. As the disc approaches the fully‑open position, the flow passage is substantially opened with low fluid resistance.
Closing Stroke: Upon receiving control signals, the actuator rotates in the reverse direction and turns the disc to a position substantially perpendicular to the pipeline flow‑path. The disc makes firm contact with the sanitary‑grade seat to form reliable sealing and shut off the media flow.
Automatic Control: Fitted with solenoid valves, limit switches or valve positioners, the valve can perform automatic opening and closing according to signals from control systems such as PLC and DCS. Depending on actuator configurations, spring‑return (single‑acting) or double‑acting pneumatic actuators are selectable to satisfy diverse automatic control requirements.
