Pneumatic V-Port Control Ball Valve is a quarter-turn pneumatic control valve designed for precise and reliable regulation of flow, pressure, temperature and other process parameters. It combines a V-shaped ball/port design with a pneumatic actuator to provide accurate and responsive flow control.

The V-shaped opening creates a controlled throttling characteristic, allowing the valve to deliver stable and precise flow regulation, particularly at low and medium flow rates. The pneumatic actuator converts compressed air into rotary motion to drive the V-port ball through a 0°–90° operating range, enabling fast and reliable valve positioning.

The valve is suitable for demanding industrial applications involving liquids, gases, steam, viscous fluids and media containing suspended particles. It is widely used in chemical processing, petrochemical, power generation, water treatment, HVAC, pharmaceutical and general process automation systems.

Working Principle of Pneumatic V‑Port Control Valve
Compressed air enters the pneumatic actuator, driving the piston or diaphragm according to control signals. The internal transmission mechanism of the actuator converts linear motion into 0°‑90° quarter‑turn rotary motion. The output shaft rotates the V‑notched ball to change the valve opening.

When equipped with a 4‑20mA valve positioner, the valve accepts standard control signals from control systems such as PLC and DCS. Based on the deviation between the input signal and actual valve position, the positioner automatically adjusts the air supply pressure to the actuator. This enables the V‑notched ball to stay accurately at the target position, realizing continuous automatic regulation of process parameters including flow, pressure, temperature and liquid level.
